I have a website with over 400 members and I have my personal reputation to maintain, so my word is good.

I posted this poem on the wrong page. It was missing two lines anyways, so I will post it again here. I wrote it after watching a federal government television commercial leading up to July 1st celebrations. I had a rap beat in my mind when I put the words to paper:

A NATION’S BIRTHDAY

they show us smiling faces
but only certain places
hoping we’ll stay blind
without the will to find
a cold and dark reality
a million hungry children
a million more to come
we can hear them crying
but nothing is ever done
women used
criticized and abused
first nations still neglected
another liar gets elected
