“The One-Week Job Project will inspire a new generation of young people to stay true to themselves and define their own roads in life.”
- Mike Marriner, author of Roadtrip Nation
After graduation, Sean Aiken struggled to answer the question, “What should I do with my life?” Instead of take the first job that came along, he found a unique way of figuring it out: The One-Week Job Project.
Now at the end of his journey, it’s time to share the complete story and the lessons learned along the way.
Since completing his 52 jobs in 52 weeks, Sean has given presentations at high schools, colleges, and corporations throughout North America, sharing his experience and all that he learned along the way.
“Sean and Ian’s passion, courage, and humility transforms a great idea into an inspiring story for every generation.” – Kristy Baker, Explore Coordinator – Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center
STUDENT FEEDBACK:
“I currently saw your presentation at the U of C campus and was very impressed! I am graduating later this year and have been so stressed out about a lot of things you guys talked about. It definitely helped me make some decisions! I really liked how Sean added a bit about teaching and really focussed on de-stigmatizing that profession. It was also great to see how many people made an effort to help you guys as it seemed like some of the older people really admired what you two were doing. Anyways I just wanted to let you guys know you are making a difference and I am telling everyone I know to go watch your presentations!!!”

“Today I heard you speak at my school about your 52 jobs in 52 weeks and I wanted to thank you for inspiring me. I’m in grade 11 and it’s almost scaring me that in a year and a half I will be done high school and I don’t know what I’m going to do. All I have been doing is looking at careers and that has gotten me nowhere because I can never picture myself in those careers and that’s what has been leading me to dead ends when choosing a career. Your presentation has really opened my eyes and I want to do the same thing as you did but I’m not sure how to get started.”
