The One-Week Job Program is designed to provide others the opportunity to participate in a similar experience to Sean’s original journey.
THE PROGRAM IS NOW COMPLETE. STAY TUNED FOR THE NEXT SESSION IN SUMMER 2011.
The first semester of the program took place summer 2010. The three “jobbers” of the inaugural semester will work 8 different One Week Job’s of their choosing, and will receive a $3000 grant towards their travel expenses.

To determine the three jobbers, we accepted applications from individuals throughout North America. We narrowed down the applicants to seven finalists, and then allowed others to vote for whom they wanted to be selected. Over the course of one week, nearly 11,000 people voted for their favorite and the top three were determined.
As Sean did during his 52 weeks, the three jobbers will blog about their experience on the OneWeekJob.com website; they’ll share stories from the road, all the career and life lessons they’re learning, and provide readers with an insight into the 8 different jobs.
Each week, they will send in short video clips and photos that the One-Week Job team will edit into a 5-10 minute webisode, hosted by Sean, that will highlight the different jobs and interviews from the jobber’s current employers.
If you’re interested in applying for a future semester and would like to be kept up to date when the applications open, sign up for updates on the homepage.
